To build up the macaroni and cheese ensemble, I repeated that first combo layer twice more, until I ran out of soft cheese. That was the very top layer. As a quick note, if you decide to use a huge 7 quart Dutch oven like I did, you may want to go with a pound and a half of each type of cheese.   These Savory Dutch Pancakes are are not the same as the “dutch baby” pancakes that are all over the internet. A “dutch baby” is a pancake that you bake in a cast iron skillet. It puffs up, then collapses when it comes out of the oven. According to Wikipedia, “dutch baby” pancakes were popularized in the US in the early 20th century.

Kevin, I think you may want to change that recipe to remove the 4 cups of cheese. I believe this recipe should only have 2 cups of cheese. 1 1/2 cups that you stir into the flour, milk, and butter and 1/2 cup that would be added to the top. Surely 4 1/2 cups of cheese would not be put on top of the pan of macaroni. Get out of Amsterdam for the day and make your way into the Dutch countryside with this full-day tour from Amsterdam. Highlights include stops in the village of Edam, where you can taste some of its namesake cheese, with stops along the way to see windmills and 4/K TripAdvisor reviews.

Walter Peters. The novella deals with an episode in the life of Frans Laarmans, a clerk who is suddenly made chief representative in Belgium and Luxembourg of a Dutch cheese company. Laarmans is saddled with a consignment of cases contain full-cream Edam cheeses.

He stores the cheese in his cellar, sets up an office and waits. Mmmm cheese. What a totally delectable foodstuff. The cheese of choice within this literary morsel (and random surprise left-field books choice) is Edam. Personally I'm more of a Halloumi or Cave-Aged Gruyere person myself but I guess, much like the list, there is no accounting for taste/5.
